Kari is an ace Scimitar Fighter-Pilot, legendary throughout the Republic for turning the tide at the Battle of White-Rim. Only twenty-three years old, she is the youngest pilot ever to achieve the rank of Commander. Kari's assignment on the Republic frigate Danzig ended when the frigate was destroyed by an Alliance ambush. Kari was rescued from certain death by the crew of Niobe and has now joined them.
Appearance
Kari is a caucasian woman of average height and slight build with chin-length red hair and green eyes who is normally attired in little more than a singlet, shorts and no shoes.
Personality
Kari is mildly pessimistic and a bit of a cynic but easy to get along with and very perceptive with a wisdom that goes far age, but she lacks the genius and demeanur to back it up, and generally displays it with sarcasm. She can often lack tact but doesn't beat around the bush but, despite her laid back attitude, she suffers post-traumatic stress syndrome that causes her to sometimes experience panic attacks in darkness and see red.

Goals
Prior to the Battle of White-Rim Kari likely had dreams of becoming a famous, high-ranking fighter pilot which were probably fueled by Darani propoganda and recruitment drives. However, since the Battle of White-Rim she has achieved those goals and appears less than impressed. Kari no-longer has much interest in fighting but still maintains a love of simply flying.
History
Despite being born on Gaidana Kari only remembers being raised in space. She joined the R.A.S.F. as a fighter-pilot and fought at the Battle of White-Rim in the Fifth Wing based on the Castellan class carrier Siris, where her actions were instrumental in saving the Darni fleet, earning her promotion to Commander and fame as the Hero of White-Rim despite the fact that it was only luck and chance which aided her. She suffered post-traumatic stress disorder in the wake of the fight and spent several weeks in thereapy on Minear Station before being transferred to the Taratane class Frigate|frigate Danzig where she served until it was destroyed in an ambush and the Niobids rescued her.
