Description[]

During the war of independence, many colonies chose to remain neutral and were mostly spared the ravages of war, but that did not stop them from applying for independence when the war ended. Most controversial were the colonies in and around the Daranir system, which publicly denounced their warring neighbours, only to then reap the rewards of independence.

The Republic of Daranir is now one of the largest and most powerful protectorates and is currently in the process of applying to become the seventh state of the UTC . The system of government is a democratic monarchy, though their most unusual take on royal succession has caused some unrest in the Coalition. Though the Chancellor’s power is supreme, he is still answerable to a democratically elected parliament and can be deposed by a majority vote. Most citizens of the Republic enjoy comfortable lifestyles, fuelled by steady trade and a robust economy.
