The Taratane is a small warship, designed primarily for reconnaissance and mobile operations. It is very fast, but lightly armed. Its key strength lies in its launch bays, capable of holding two fighters and thus further extending its range while adding an unexpected defensive bonus. Although a versatile and useful ship, the Taratane is generally a subject of derision within the RASF .
